'Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole' was heard around the stadium...S'pore has defeated Malaysia 5-4 on penalties after a full time 1-1 draw...wat a match it was...ppl cheering for the Lions and booing the Tigers everytime they touch the ball...we were lucky to get a draw....Malaysia dominate the game but who won?? Whahaha....wat a sweet victory....first half was not really exciting except for the chances tat we had....i reach the stadium at around 7 and made my way in....the stadium was almost filled by then....fans cheering....creating the atmosphere tat was spectacular...the Kallang wave was back....stomping of feet....wat a place to be…teams lined up for the national anthem....Malaysia were booed by us when their anthem was played...it was a strong rivalry tat create a slight hostility....match begin promptly at 8 and chances came swiftly....but none was scored...45 mins went by with constant exchange of words btw fans from both side....at the break the score was 0-0....2nd half saw more action....but Malaysia got the first goal....a fumble by Lionel Lewis gave them the lead....the whole stadium went silent....only the Malaysia sector could be heard...but it was soon drowned by boos from us...the time from then got very nerve-wrecking....we were praying for an equalizer soon and it finally came...it was Ridhuan who scored from a goal mouth scramble....from my view I couldn't c who scored...but when i saw the net move and the players running and celebrating...i knew it was a goal....the whole stadium went berserk....the home side scored and everyone was relieved....everytime we had a chance to grab the winning goal...the stadium would b cheering...but the score remain the same till extra time....we had many chances then by it was either a close shave or the keeper had it saved...but the Malaysian keeper was obviously wasting time towards the end....save the ball from corner and then lie on ground in pain....so fake....S'pore fans were all shouting 'butoh' to the sound of 9 horns....by the game had to so into a penalty shootout...when both sides were tied on 4-4....shi jia yi made no mistake to convert the 5th penalty...Malaysia's turn to convert the last penalty...we started jeering them...we wanted to win n tis came down to it...I think the player was really pressured by us so he could only send it into the arms of Lionel Lewis....from villain to hero...fumbling the shot to give Malaysia the lead to saving the penalty to send them home crying....wat a night...now for the final....anyone wanna go?? pls call me...I b going...
